Getting Around in Bica

Our apartment is well surrounded by public tranport. The tram 28 is just at the top of the street and you have nearby 2 “Metro” stations. Baixa Chiado is 500 mts from the apartment and Cais do Sodre is 750 mts.

In the area of Cais do Sodre you will also find plenty the tram 15E which will take you to Belem. There are also several buses that will take to any part of the city, including the 728 to Parque das Nações and Orient Station, if you don’t want to go by “Metro”.

The train to Cascais is also in Cais do Sodré Station, don’t forget to seat on the left side of the train to have the best view to Cascais. From here you may also take the ferry and visit the other side of the river.

Cacilhas is known for the excellent restaurants and amazing views of the river and Lisbon. With luck you may also see the dolphins which are slowly returning to our river.  While you are there don’t forget to visit Cristo Rei, it’s a 3KM walk near the river.

If you want to visit World Heritage Sintra, than the train  is in Rossio Station,  at Praça dos Restauradores, which is 850 mts from the apartment. You can also take the Metro, but the stroll through Chiado Neighbourhood passing Convento do Carmo is really worth it.
